News on the new album! - October 28, 2010
Hey everyone!
So, I'm horrible at frequently updating the website but I'm making an effort to change that, I promise.
Since releasing "The 13th Evening" in July of 2008, I've been incredibly busy with other musical endeavors. Between high school and now, I've attended and recently graduated from Musician's Institute where I met some incredible people and made some invaluable connections, participated in a few side projects, and provided the music for a few commercials and indie films here and there.
I consider myself incredibly different now as not only a guitar player and a musician, but as a person entirely, and the music that I've been working on clearly reflects that. I'll say this much, it's leaps and bounds more exciting to listen to than the noise I put out at age 16.
The new album I've been working on for the past few months is tentatively named, "On The Rocks". I'll let you all play around with the many interpretations of that title. Produced and engineered by Eric Corne and featuring the incredible Kenny Aronoff on drums (Sidebar: Kenny..well to say it lighty, "FUCKS SHIT UP" on this album. The guy is a monster behind the kit, and one of the most genuine people I've had the pleasure of meeting), it's nine brand new songs that really represent who I am NOW. The new material is a little darker both lyrically and musically than the last record and is really unlike what you've heard from me before. It's a great example of how I've grown artistically, and puts a focus on telling a story in each song.
As I'm writing of this, the music for the album is in it's final stages of preparation. I'm hoping to release a single a little before Christmas, or even do a limited run EP with maybe an exclusive acoustic song.
You can expect "On The Rocks" in your hands, and on your sex music playlists early 2011.
